My abiding memory of Dianne is of someone who was supportive and enthusiastic, both in science communication and in life. Gone far too soon. Thoughts with Dianne's family and friends.
I've only just learnt the sad news about Dianne. Like some others I was lucky enough to have had Dianne as my first boss when I was a Press Officer at the IoP. I have a huge amount to thank her for - she taught this physicist to communicate and write (no mean feat for many of us physicists!) and as a result helped me into my current role at the interdisciplinary Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research where I've been very happy for over 13 years. Thank you Dianne. Your wise words and red pen are never far from my thoughts when writing and speaking about climate change.
